The mission of The Shakespeare Forum is to create empowered communities through education and performance.
Some of the ways in which we do that are:
1) Fostering community in New York through the performing arts (especially, but not exclusively through the works of Shakespeare) with a specific focus on reaching underserved communities and adults/children with disabilities.
2) Inspiring artists and non-artists alike to find their creative voices through theatre and the works of Shakespeare by offering free/low-cost classes, workshops, and performance.
3) Improving the standard of performance of classical text through high-quality productions at a low-cost to the community/audience.
